A Wearable Orange Eye

MAC Coppering | Kat Von D Tattoo Liner

For Autumn, I am all over the orange or copper eye. I think it is an absolutely beautiful shade to wear on your eyelids and it can really brighten the eyes as well as standing out! Sometimes, such a bright colour can be a bit intimidating so I will talk you through how I got this really wearable Autumn orange eye…

1/ Prime your lids with an eyeshadow primer. I use the Urban Decay Priming Potion which I love to pieces.
2/ Use a flat shadow brush to cover your lid in the orange or copper shade you are using. I use MAC Coppering but I will list some great alternatives at the bottom of this post.
3/ Blend the edges of your shadow out with a blending brush to make it look seamless.
4/ Get any matte black eyeshadow and a fluffy brush and lightly add this to the outer corner of your eyelid and then run it partially through the crease. Build this up as much as you desire, if you want a darker night time look use more black! If you like, you can drag the black slightly under the lower lash line to add more drama.
5/ Blend this out to look more seamless using a eyeshadow blending brush.
6/ Line your eyes using a black liquid eyeliner. For me you can’t go wrong with the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner but a good alternative is the Maybelline Eye Studio Master Precise Liner.
7/ Add lots of black mascara and you are done!

If you are looking for an alternative to MAC Coppering, some of my other orange favourites are:

I absolutely love this eye look and have been wearing it all the time! Let me know if you try it out, I’d love to know what you think.
